Yep, i tried it one summer and my hair is dark blonde and it went a funny orange colour. But i suppose there is all different shades of dark blonde. it your hair highlights in the sun anyway and you get golden highlights then the effect will be blonde highlights with the lemon juice. I would recommend to wash your hair as soon as you come out of the sunlight as it goes really sticky and dries out your hair. The highlights are permenant as it has stripped the colour from your own hair colour, the highlights might go dull but if you use a shampoo for blonde hair it will bring them back. All i can say is try it and see what happens.

You can saturated the entire head or section specific areas then let the Sun do the drying. The heat from a drier will work if you are in a rush. Oh, it won't be instant nor will it be immediately noticeable but it does work 'somewhat'!!

You don't have to wash it out until you next wash. Chamoille Tea reportedly does similar. Left over regular tea will give the subtle affect of adding 'low lights'.

The lemon juices will not create any problems that 'bleach' may (depending on your hair's condition. If you are in the Sun a lot it will create natural lightening.
