I have highlights, and i want to die my hair back to it's natrual color.?

the problem is my mom thinks it'll be really hard to dye it back. and to keep it that way. do the highlights take the color out of your hair? and how hard will it actually be to keep my hair color???

All I did was buy the color I wanted and my hair took it right away. Only some areas were a little lighter, but it was much darker like low lights. I was well pleased. I was going lighter to darker though.

when you dye over highlights you still get streaks. the first time. you may need to dye it twice, if your hair is in good shape. its always had to match your real color. dye seems to go darker than it says. so you might think about getting a shade lighter. the gadge will be on the box. good luck

there is a shampoo that strips all dye out of your hair, you can find it a a beauty supply store. Then go for your new color.

PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE DYING YOUR HAIR!!!!!!!!!!!!

Highlights DO NOT fade away. Highlight are done with bleach and strip the color from your hair. The bleach also puts holes in your hair that have to be filled in before you can color it back to natural. You need to consult a professional stylist. My mom is one and says that the blonde has to be filled with red color and then dyed again to hold the other color. If you put brown or black on the unfilled holes in your blonde hightlights it will turn green or worse, break of and then you really will need to go to a proffesional!! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE seek professional advise!!
