about 40 mins. the color is a warm bronze/brown color and well my hair is really thin. im scared that leaving it in for so long will actually make my hair turn blonde? should i leave it in for less time??

You should do a strand test to see how long you need to leave it on for to get it the color you want and while it's processing, check it every 10 minutes.

Do 20 mins at a time - I have a emo sweep and plinked in the back of my hair. I have thin hair aswell with blonde highlights so I did 20 mins at a time till I like it.

OMG NOOO!!! those kits suck azz...i bough one and it left my hair orange and i think it was because i didn't leave it long enough...leave it for the 40 minutes but keep checking evey 5-10 minutes to see if you have the desired color yet and if you see that you do then wash it then...but i would recommend that you should go to a professional instead.

After about twenty minutes wipe a piece of the hair off and check the color. If it is light enough then wash it out, if not leave on longer checking every 5 minutes.

test a little piece before and if it's the color you want there you are if not leave on a little longer and keep checking until you reach the color desired
