Can I get temporary highlights in my hair?

Okay, basically i'm chinese so I have naturally black hair.

I don't want to go to the hairdresser's to get it done because it is way to expensive.

I was just wondering if for instance blue would actually go in my hair. The thing is cos my hair is so dark, does a lighter colour work?

Does it need to bleached before i can dye it or not?

And also, this is something i want to do at home... so yeh any comments please

yeah you can get temporary highlights. I have really dark brown hair but i got temporary red in it. You can buy stuff that bleaches it and dyes it at the same time, but doesnt stay in that long.

If you bleach it will take away you natural colour. So the highlights may not last but they will fade and leave a different colour other that your natural colour. I don't think there is a way to have highlights in dark hair without bleaching.

i think u should not high light it light because ur hair is natrually already black. and u would just waste ur time puttin the light color in it. so i bascally think u should go with a brighter color.

you can buy blue clip in extensions so there's no need to dye your hair there's loads on ebay all different colours
