Ash will work well as long as you don't swim. If you do, the chlorine will react with the ash and turn your hair a strange green.

Otherwise, try caramel highlights. Going lighter won't look natural, but this would be a good balance and give you a perkier appearance.

I'd go with more of an ashy blond. Especially if your hair has reddish undertones like mine... anything else will look orange... or, you might even go with a light brown highlight (I've done it, and loved it)

if u want them to look natural id do 2 shades lighter i have very dark brown hair and i wouldnt try the blonde nice reddish colors look very nice.just dont do blonde please
