Is it ok for me to COLOR my hair blond if i already have blond HIGHLIGHTS?

My natural color is a dark ash blond and i've highlighted it for years. I'd really like to be able to lighten my hair at home rather than at the salon where it costs 90 bucks. A bottle of hair color is only 10 at any store. So should i color all the hair or only the new growth from the last time i had highlights?

i would color all of it the first time and then only the new growth every month after that, it will look professional, this what i did

Yes it's just hard to pick the right color. That's why it's safer to go to a pro.. either way yes you can. Just don't do it too often because it is damaging.
