My natural hair color is brownish/blonde with some red highlights (natural)?

I have never colored my hair and I am ready for a change. I am having a difficult time choosing the right color for myself and I don't have a lot of money to spend at an expensive salon. What color or highlights do you think I could go with? Should I do it myself or go to a salon? Thanks for your opinions....

Don't go to a salon,they ruin your hair!!! if you want to go to a salon,then try a salon that's highly recommended and costs a price that isn't so expensive.I recommend doing this at home,but maybe a salon expert could teach you how or someone who has experience with dyeing their hair.Your parents could do that also if they had experience.Brown hair with light brown hi-lites and maybe some reddish-auburn tones go good too with brown hair,but the red has to be a really light red.
