With highlights in can make your haircut look wonderful. It can (excuse my spelling)excentuate your look as well and with no highlights the hair can look very blah and boring. Some people are able to pull it off though with no highlights. EVen choosing a shade or two above your natural haircolor can change the look without highlights and actually give a little bit of a natural highlight.

Well, light brown hair looks better with blonde highlights. That's my hair now. But darker brown hair looks best without. And highlights look awful on any hair if it looks fake.
