I have dark brown hair and want to put blonde and red highlights in, any good websites w/ pics out there?

I don't know of any websites but I did put red and blonde streaks in my hair ( I also have dark brown) for my wedding last December. I'm sorry, I don't know if that helps or not.

So i want to get highlights in my hair, what shade of blonde would look best?

get chunky platinum highlights.

As for the straightening, use a heat protecting spray and you can get shampoo to help with split ends.

So i want to get highlights in my hair, what shade of blonde would look best?

A caramel blonde i think your hair is beuatiful as it is though! you say you get split ends you can get great shampoo's to help with this i use panten proV(3.50) you can also use straightening shampoos they protect your hair i use toni and guy straightening shampoo(5.00). If you can afford to but special shampoo use some ceap conditioner and rub it on the split ends and the bottom of your hair and lt your hair naturally dry or dry at a cool heat. Hope this help!

So i want to get highlights in my hair, what shade of blonde would look best?

I think carmel or golden honey colored hightlights would be best. For the split ends DO NOT use pantine it is bad for your hair,it strips your hair of its moisture.Herbal Essance works for me it keeps my hair moisturized, and i straighten my hair almost eveyday.

Black Highlights in Blonde hair?????

I want a few black streaks in my blonde hair. Will it ruin it?? how can I get it back to my natural color WITH OUT using a dye after it starts to fade??

Black Highlights in Blonde hair?????

Yes, but I'd go for something like color pulse, it's a 8-10 shampoo dye.

Or manic panic, but that lasts longer.

And no, it won't ruin it if you use one of the above dyes.

And to get it out after it starts to fade, use dish soap like dawn on it. or just keep washing it, but that does take longer,

Black Highlights in Blonde hair?????

Well for one thing, BLACK would be a lowlight, not a highlight and once black is in your hair, the only way to get it out is bleach or a color removing kit. They sell them at Sally Beauty Supply.

Black Highlights in Blonde hair?????

you would need to strip the black out of your hair which will damage it i would recommend dark brown lowlites if you want to color your hair it will be easier to change back to your natural hope this helped from a cosmetologist

Black Highlights in Blonde hair?????

It sounds like what the girls are doing here in Europe. Lots of contrasting colors.

I really think depending on your natural color that you will have to grow it out or use some sort of coloring later to even out the tone if you don't like it.You may want to cut your hair shorter later to grow out fast.

Black Highlights in Blonde hair?????

of course it will ruin it!! all dyes naturally does ruin the hair, and in case you dye it black and the color starts to fade and if you don't want to dye it again then, in order to avoid unsightly patchy hair, the simple option would be to cut it off!!

But, as hair dyes, however strong a guarantee it may come along with, eventually spoils the hair, better avoid running after fashion if you don't want to go bald after a few years! cheerio!

Black Highlights in Blonde hair?????

go to stores like sally beauty cuz they have hair streaking gel that comes in all kinds of colors that wash out so they will most likely have black..if ur hair is light blonde it might be hard to get it to wash out completely since light hair holds color the best and the longest..if u want a non permenant solution they have clip in extensions in all colors there and u can get a few black ones and see how u like it. good luck

Black Highlights in Blonde hair?????

I dont know if your looking for something different or not.. but instead of that.. you could ask for some really thin black lowlights around your hair and then get the bottom half dyed black, it would probably look a little better so that the black doesnt look so out there randomly.

Black Highlights in Blonde hair?????

Why ruin your pretty blonde hair by adding black highlights? Hair colors contain harsh chemicals, that can really dry your hair out badly. If you are determined to highlight your hair black, then just let the color grow out. Keep your hair conditioned WELL if you add highlights.

Black Highlights in Blonde hair?????

You sound confused. There is a huge difference between highlighting and streaking. If you want color contrast, get some lowlights.

Black Highlights in Blonde hair?????

I think that it would rock. You would probably have to dye it though to get it back to your natural color.

Black Highlights in Blonde hair?????

umm if your thinking about putting black streaks all over your head..NO! that wont look too good. but if your just going to do it on the underneath part, that will be cute. and the only way to get your natural color back(if u use a permenant black) will be to bleach it... if you use a temperory color..it should just wash back to your normal color. :)

Can i bleached purple highlights on black hair that i dyed already?

i want purple highlights but i dont know if i can bleached it after i dyed it black

Can i bleached purple highlights on black hair that i dyed already?

I had purple highlights - you should have a hair dresser do them - if your hair is dyed black you are going to need to get foils to bleach them out and then have the purple put in.

You can't put a color on black hair.

That said - Think long and hard about the purple highlights - I had purple and hot pink for about 6 months and it was very difficult to get them out. The color really sticks to the ends of your hair.

If you want to go purple - get manic panic purple shampoo and try it for a while - before you get it done.

With the summer coming if you go in pools or the sun it is going to require some upkeep on your part as well as the will fade out.

hope this helps.

Can i bleached purple highlights on black hair that i dyed already?

If you hair is currently dyed black, you have to strip the black off before dying it again. Start by washing your hair each day with a little dishwashing soap. This will speed up the stripping process. If you can't wait and want purple highlights with the black hair, you will need to leave the bleach on for a long time in order to get the color out. You run the risk of your hair turning orange or becoming very damaged. However, if you only bleach it a little (with something gentle like a clairol frosting kit) you can lighten it just enough to then add the purple dye the next day.

Can i bleached purple highlights on black hair that i dyed already?

I would be very careful before bleaching your hair you might ruin it i have purple in my hair Feria Violet vision which is a bit of a nightmare to get rid of. you can but non permanent purple and blue to experiment with maybe that would be worth a try.

Can i bleached purple highlights on black hair that i dyed already?

I expect so, but it will need a hefty amount of bleach and a trained hairdresser for it to look any good i'd say.

As the others have said... be very wary of purple.... i dyed my hair violet when i was 16... it took 4 years and 10 inches chopped of my hair to properly get rid of! It just sticks! That said if you put brunette on top of it later, it can look quite a nice plummy colour.

Also- don't try to bleach on top of purple yourself either- i gave my self some rather fetching (not) fluorescent orange streaks that way!

Good luck! Enjoy your crazy hair days while you can!

I wanted to do some highlights in my hair with Manic Panic??

I have brown hair and recently got my hair done in the salon with red and black low lights. But the red is hardly noticeable so I wanted to do some hight lights with an orangey red color by Manic Panic and was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on how to do this. Or if any other brands would work better.

I wanted to do some highlights in my hair with Manic Panic??

Highlites are tricky I'd go back to the salon and tell your stylist you want the red more noticeable because to get it you might have to bleach it 1st and with double processing you should really leave it up to a professional I just got my hair back to normal trying to do it myself with a more vibrant red lets just say my hair was like 3 different colours and not cool. I finally got it back to how I wanted it and realize from now on if i want something drastic i'm leaving it to them.

I wanted to do some highlights in my hair with Manic Panic??

manic panic is okay stuff. My friend used it but she had to lighten her hair first. %26amp; if you really want it to show you could always bleach yr hair. Im sure theres better brands but manic panic works pretty well.

I wanted to do some highlights in my hair with Manic Panic??

do it most every highlights look awesome

I wanted to do some highlights in my hair with Manic Panic??

Well the barbers job is to do your hair style anyway you want

so get a picture out of a magazine or show them what you wanna do to your hair

I wanted to do some highlights in my hair with Manic Panic??

Manic panic is a good brand to use when coloring your hair. Yes, it is true that it will come out brighter and more vivid if you lighten or bleach your har first, but I have also had past expiriences when using bleach was not nescesarry to get a nice color, and I have dark brown hair.

I wanted to do some highlights in my hair with Manic Panic??

Manic Panic is a temporary dye. Obviously, temporary dye washes out quicker than other dyes. The more often you wash it, the more often it will fade; which is what you don't want.

I have dry long bi-racial hair and want to dye and put some highlights in it. Would this damage it b

I have long dark brown hair and I am very bored with it. I have always wanted to put a little color in it, but have always been afraid of damaging it even more. I had a relaxer several years ago. It is naturally curly but I flat iron it to keep it straight. Being that I am white and a quarter black it has two different textures to it. I'd like to dye it a deep chocolate brown with caramel or golden brown highlights and also add some long side bangs. How can I keep it from drying out and breaking off?? I pasted a link to a pic of me, so you can see my type of hair. Thanx so much!

I have dry long bi-racial hair and want to dye and put some highlights in it. Would this damage it badly?

You just wanted us to see how pretty you are. j/k. I would definitely get the first dye job professionally. I wouldn't attempt this myself.

As for the dryness. Wash your hair and then saturate it with Olive Oil. (Yes the stuff used for cooking) Put on a plastic cap and wrap a towel around your head so that it soaks in. Then wash the olive oil out. I would do this at least twice a month. And always use a wide tooth comb on your hair

I have dry long bi-racial hair and want to dye and put some highlights in it. Would this damage it badly?

If your hair is already dry and damaged from heat, hair color is only gonna make it even more dry and damaged. Before you color your hair, try to make your hair healthier. For starters, if you straighten your hair, use a heat protectant and deep condition once a week or every 2 weeks to try to keep your hair moisturized. Once your hair gets healthier, it should be able to handle color.

Hope that helped!!

I suggest using protecting shampoos and conditioners. As long as use the right products on your hair, it should pretty much be okay. but coloring your hair and straightening your hair arent exactly healthy, so keep your hair moistureized

My hair stylist put blond highlights in my hair, help please?

They turned out "chunky" or "stripey"! Isn't that out of style??? Any celebs with hair like this? How can I fix it easily?

My hair stylist put blond highlights in my hair, help please?

Heavy highlights are really not "in" right now but it is your hair, if you like it it shouldn't matter what anyone thinks. Aside from that always remember you paid that stylist to do that to your hair, again it is your hair they have a liability to fix it and give you what you want. If the stylist knows what they are doing it's easily fixable. You can have low lights put in to correct the heavy highlight. Good luck!

My hair stylist put blond highlights in my hair, help please?

Depends on your definition of easily. Shaving your head would cure it.

If you don't like the way your hair looks, either deal with it, or ask your stylist to fix it somehow. Could always dye it, right? Maybe you could have your stylist put a different color of highlights over the "chunky" part to give yourself a new look. Ask the stylist.

On a side note, try not to be TOO concerned with how you look. It's a huge turn off when someone is too shallow.

My hair stylist put blond highlights in my hair, help please?

girl if you don't like it, it is easily fixed by going back to the salon.some people like it even celebs.maybe not the really famous household names but some.
